Breakfast Review Disney’s Grand Floridian Cafe

One of my favorite resorts to visit is Disney’s Grand Floridian. There is beautiful detail everywhere you look, and it just feels so classy and elegant. There is a pianist in the lobby in the afternoons and you often see beautiful brides on their wedding day.

We have really cut back on character dining and embarked on eating breakfast around property at different places to fill our bellies for park days. One of our new favorite places to do this is the Grand Floridian Cafe. On a beautiful outside day it’s bright and airy inside with a rose on each table. The menu has lots of great options, and it’s become a must stop on every trip.

I feel like this a hidden gem that’s starting to be not so hidden anymore but I would recommend a reservation though it’s never completely full when we go. It’s just a very chill relaxing breakfast before a full park day. They even bring these delicious biscuits to your table for you to enjoy.

My absolute favorite thing to order here is either a Mickey Waffle or the French Toast. You do get more with the French Toast so it depends on how hungry you are. I’ve also heard the pancakes are awesome so I’ll definitely be giving that a try soon. What I love about ordering these morning carbs is the toppings sides you can order. It’s so hard to choose which one I love most but it is probably the strawberry,  though I could do without the crumbles sugar cookies. The fresh strawberries, fresh whip cream and strawberry sauce are seriously the best on a giant Mickey Waffle.

I also think different toppings go better with different items and I would totally recommend the banana and Carmel sauce toppings for the French toast it pairs so perfectly.

My husband is a big fan of their steak and eggs. He basically tries this dish anywhere he can and he was pleasantly surprised how good this one was.  They also have a very delicious cheesy potato casserole that accompanies it.

There are several options for coffee here including a Joffrey’s pressed pot, lattes, cappuccinos and of course your basic cups of coffee.

I honestly just love the relaxed and elegant  atmosphere at the Grand Floridian Cafe. There is no crazy hustle and bustle that comes with character dining, and your not all crammed up like some other locations can feel. Also the prices are extremely reasonable and your going to get more fresh of a meal.

If your looking for a great breakfast before heading to Magic Kingdom the Grand Floridian Cafe is a really great stop!
