I’m no seamstress so this was a pretty easy project for me. First up I needed to figure out the skirt. I almost used a simple white tutu until I found YOHA Infinity Baby Girls Tutu Dress Multi-Layer Tulle Balls Dress for Toddler Girls(White,100)“>this one on Amazon and it was too perfect not to snag!

Next up was the shirt. I went with a plain white tee from Hobby Lobby. I wanted a little girls tee so it was a bit more fitted, instead of a unisex kids tee. I also grabbed yellow buttons, pom poms, and some iridescent leather there too.

I started by adding the pom poms to sleeves with hot glue. I used an Industrial hot glue gun so it does have much better hold. I then found a Peter Pan collar pattern printed it out, and traced it onto the leather to create a faux collar. Lastly I glued the yellow buttons down the middle and it was complete!

I knew we needed a little something for our head so I used the same iridescent leather and cut round circles for ears. I found the most perfect ribbon at Michaels to make a bow from, and next time we wear it I will also use as a belt. I glued the ears to a headband that goes all the way around the head and then the bow. You can also glue to a regular headband, or bow clip whatever works for you.

We had this adorable cupcake purse from Target we used that day, and I also glued pom poms around some fold over socks to complete the look. Minnie loved that outfit then and I bet she will love it even more now!

Of course if you want to match a bit you can find some great pieces to go along!
